DESCRIPTION

The Saab J29, popularly called Flygande tunnan ("The Flying Barrel"), was a Swedish fighter designed and manufactured by Saab in the 1950s. It was Sweden's second turbojet-powered combat aircraft, the first being the Saab 21R. Despite its rotund appearance, the J 29 was fast and agile, serving effectively in both fighter and fighter-bomber roles into the 1970s.This particular fighter is dated 1954 and saw service with the Austrian Federal Army up until 1967. It carries the registration 'Yellow 29449'. It has been in private ownership since.

The aircraft is presented in unrestored condition.All components you can see in the pictures are included as well as 2x as-new tyres, 2x auxiliary fuel tanks, 2x landing skids, and one loose engine. There are few survivors of this type remaining.The aircraft is located in Austria, Vienna. Delivery can be arranged, please contact for a quote.
