Wool covered aluminum canteen with straps & clips, no cup. The neck of the canteen is hallmarked MN38, so it is an early issue pre-war type. The wool cover is in excellent condition, with no rips or tears. The strapping is very solid and serviceable. One of the clips is marked Patent Ritter. Very nice original canteen!
