This is a replica steel German paratrooper helmet (Fallschirmjager)large size 71. It is the same weight as an original with the correct steel content and gauge. The liner is leather, which has been aged with the correct type of dyes and is correctly marked. The liner retaining studs are the early type steel with the correct double nuts fitted.
The camouflage colours are based on an original helmet that was used by the 3rd and 5th Falschirm Divisions trapped in the Falaise Pocket. The texture applied to the helmet is to represent the Zimmerit (anti magnetic texture) effect. The decal is a dry applied one as used by Germany during WW2. The helmet is as near as possible to an original, no short cuts have been taken with its quality. Any questions please ask. Thanks for looking.
