The badge shows a soaring eagle grasping a wreathed swastika in its talons and reads “Seefahrt Ist Not” ” (Seafaring Is Necessary). The base shows an anchor with “Tag Der Deutschen Seefahrt 25.26.5.1935” (Day Of German Seafaring 25.26.5.1935). In the center a wonderful sailing ship on the high seas. Has maker mark FR.ZIMMERMANN STUTTGART.
