Awarded to members of the American Armed Forces for service at European Theater of Operations between December 7, 1941 and November 8, 1945
The medal’s front shows a Landing Ship, Tank (LST) and troops with an airplane overhead. The back has the American eagle and the inscription, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and dates, “1941-1945.”
