Description
A fine replicated edition of the standard GI lined canvas canteen cover issued to all military personnel in WW11. Quality construction bearing replicated maker’s markings with WW11 issue date on the interior and large “U.S.” stamp to front. New made, complete with lift the dot closure snaps; just like the originals.
It is constructed of canvas held closed by two “Pull Dot” fasteners and has bronze hooks on the back that are hooked onto two eyelets set into the US issue web gear. The bronze wire hook allows the canteen to swing free from the web gear. It is insulated with some flannel lint sewed into the inside like the originals to help absorb denting and to soak up some of the moisture that could condense on the metal canteen hull.
