Description
This early-war green FJ M38 helmet cover is made just like the originals with a 2 piece construction.
Along the circumference the German paratrooper helmet cover has a wide herringbone patterned cotton band with regular vertical seams that allow for foliage to be attached, used to break the helmet’s silhouette in battle. There is 6 hooks along the edge of the helmet cover that are reinforced with tape in herringbone material.
The green FJ helmet covers were seen being used by German Paratroopers throughout the war even after the end of 1940 when the Splinter-B helmet covers started being used.
The cover is a large size that fits the majority of 71cm shells including German originals, Chinese, Indian and Sturm helmets etc.
