Description
MG34/42 Leather sling “Geteilte Trageriemen”
This leather sling was issued with the MG34 and the MG42 and was constructed from two straps with a padded middle section, sewn together at each end. The padded middle section was for better gripping when using the divided sling as a carrying handle. The main difference between the MG34 sling and the MG42 sling is the grip buckle is wider . The first model of the buckle was too narrow to fit the MG42 handle, so a new sling buckle had to be made. This MG42 sling will fit both grips of MG34 and MG42 Machine Gun .While a MG34 buckle will not close on the MG42 grip so a MG34 sling will not work on a MG42.The grip is too wide and buckle too narrow. So technically this is a Mg42 sling .
