GERMAN MGZ40 OPTICAL SIGHTS RUBBER EYE PIECE – Large – REPRODUCTION
Description
German WWII flared type rubber eye cup for the MGZ sight that was used on the Lafette mount.
Made from a good quality rubber just as the originals. The opening diameter is 28-29 mm.
The German MGZ40 Optical Sight was intended for use with both the MG34 and MG42 machine guns, when they were mounted on a Lafette tripod. The MGZ40, was an improvement over the earlier MGZ34 scope, in that the ocular was positioned lower, to allow the gunner to keep a lower profile when aiming.
