GERMAN WW1 STICK GRENADE M1915 MODEL STIELHANDGRANATE

Description

This is a high quality replica of the WWI German Stick Grenade or “Potato Masher” It is the M1915 model that is almost impossible to tell from the originals. The removable threaded metal head is die-struck exactly as the real ones with proper painted lettering. The wooden handle is stamped with 5 1/2 Sek. This 2nd model of 1915 had the top of the head shut with a pressed steel cover and carrying hook . The wooden stick had a round end and had a pull wire running through it. The wire was fixed to the bottom of the stick by a piece of cloth tape.

This replica is inert and cannot be made to work. This display item has solid wood handle so fuse can not be inserted and can not be readily modified for use as a grenade.
