AMERICAN WWII ISSUE WATERPROOF BAG ORIGINAL FOR RIFLES AND CARBINES
Description
These were used on D-day and other amphibious operations to keep water and sand out of the troops’ weapons during landings.
This bag will fit M1 Garands, M-1 Carbines, Springfields, B.A.R.s, and possibly.30 cal MG’s.
These are stamped April 3, 1944, just before D-Day.
So made for D-Day invasion but were unissued.
