Description

Our M38 German paratrooper helmets are made from some of the most accurately shaped shells on the market in that both the weight and angle of the rim’s front slope are nearly identical to the originals.  The liner system is aged to perfection and also has the correct horizontal stitching unlike some of the lesser quality zigzag stitched liners coming out of Asia.

Here we have a custom-made holy grail of paratrooper helmets a mid-war Deutsch Afrika Korps camouflage helmet painted in RAL 8000 coded paint which is the exact color used during the war.  When the Germans first invaded North Africa in 1941 they quickly realized that their dark gray helmets did not match their tanned uniforms and so most helmets were sent to mechanized depot units to be spray painted in RAL 8000 paint to match the vehicles.This custom made example features a single Luftwaffe decal neatly masked off before being painted over.  The Luftwaffe decal is made from a high-resolution scan from an original out of the creator’s own personal collection.  So the details on the LW eagle and national shield are spot on and aged to perfection.
