Set of 3 eating utensils. One fork, one knife and one spoon. Each utensil is individually stamped with U.S. on the front handle of each piece of cutlery.
Usually these utensils were stored in the soldiers mess kit, but to keep the sound down of the cutlery they could be stored in rucksacks or packs or in the soldiers socks or other fabric.
