Description
DIE SOLDATEN DES FÜHRERS IM FELDE Third Reich 3-D book ,Original Stereo Photographs and picture viewer. Rare 3D photo book (Adolf Hitler’s Soldiers in the Field ) the Campaign in Poland 1939.
This 70 page 8 x 11 ½ inch hardcover book was published by aumbild-Verlag Otto Schonstein in Munich in 1940 for the Oberst des Generalstabes Hasso von Wedel, Abteilungschef im Oberkommando der Wehrmacht and Reichsamtsleiter Henrich Hansen of the Reichspressestelle der NSDAP.
The subject of the photos in this book is the Blitzkrieg in Poland in 1939 and the divisions of that country between the invading German and the Russian armies. There are a lot of photos by the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht and Heinrich Hoffmann of German troops and equipment. Many of these photos feature Hitler and his giant off-road Mercedes combat car.
These 3-dimensional pictures books were unique in that they came with photographic stereo-viewer cards and a fold-up metal device with which the cards could be viewed.
This book comes with 80 original photographs and its original Third Reich Raumbild 3D viewer. The special covers of these hardcover albums are about ½ inch thick and are die-cut with four cavities that hold the original photographs and a fifth cavity to hold a metal viewer.
