A nice A5 pocket Size soft cover book with 30 pages of text and photos. This book is limited to 1000 printed and covers the following war badges, Infantry Assault awards Tank Assault Badge, General Assault Badge, Army Flak, Close Combat Clasp, Tank Destruction Strip, Anti Partisan and the Army Snipers badge.
This book is intended to provide a general collectors overview of the War Badges issued to qualified personnel of the German Army in WWII. Although specified as Army War Badges (Kampfabzeichen des Heeres), they were in fact available to any member of any branch of the armed services be it Army, Airforce, Navy or Waffen-SS, who fulfilled the appropriate awarD criteria. Examples are shown of the obverse and reverse faces of each badge to show construction method, pin fittings, etc, as much as possible, includes a wartime photograph showing the correct method of wear.
