GERMAN OPERATION BARBAROSSA WW11 EASTERN FRONT MEDAL WITH ENVELOPE

Description

This Original WW2 Russian Front medal comes with an authentic red, white and black ribbon.  This medal was awarded to both German combatant or non-combatant personnel who had participated in the first winter of Operation Barbarossa during November 15, 1941 to April, 1942.  This also comes with the original paper envelope the medal was issued in. Normally these packets were discarded and not saved.  In good original used condition.

This medals shows an eagle holding a swastika on the front and the text:  Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42″ (“Winter Battle in the East 1941/42”) on the back.  The back also has a crossed sword and a branch.

This is a one of a kind item and you will receive the exact one photographed. This was picked up in Normandy this year for D-Day celebrations.
