GERMAN WWI M1898/05 BUTCHER BAYONET WITH METAL SHEATH SIMSON & C. SUHL. Dated 1916.
This features a heavy 14.5-inch steel blade with distinct bulge known as a “butcher blade”.
The original German First World War butcher blade bayonet was used with the Mauser Gewehr 98 (GEW 98) the standard issue service rifle of Imperial Germany.
This WWI German bayonet comes with nice original grooved wood grips.
