GERMAN WW2 MINE MARKER YELLOW FLAG WITH BLACK SKULL AND CROSS BONES – REPRODUCTION
Description
German WW2 yellow flag mine markers with skull and crossbones.
The triangular flags are constructed of a tough yellow linen with black skull and crossbones to signify danger.
The mine marker flags were used to mark areas of gas contaminated ground, mines and booby traps. The German mine marker was used by German Wehrmacht Pioneers/Sappers to pin point mines so that the troops could move across the minefields before mine clearing had taken place.
