WWII BANGALORE TORPEDO CONNECTING SLEEVE ORIGINAL
Description
The Bangalore Torpedo is composed of several assembled 1.5 meters long ,5 cm wide connected tubes, each of them filled with 3.85 kg of TNT.
The 1.5 metter long pipes were connected with these sleeves.
Sometimes referred to as a “Bangalore mine”, “banger” or simply “Bangalore”.
Used on D-DAY by engineer units to breach barbed -wire obstacles on the beaches.
