M38 Fallschirmjager Helmet replica in a Normandy camo, worn/distressed finish.
Here we have a custom made late war Normandy camouflage helmet with darker autumn colors of base tan followed by darker greens and auburn reds. The paint is factory spec enamel and baked right onto the metal just like it was done at the factories in Germany at the time. The Germans had been anticipating the Allied invasion for quite some time in fact and knew they would be both outmanned and outgunned. It was therefore incumbent on each solider to conceal himself in the field as best he could by use of local paints and in some cases farmers wire.
